This was a summer project with my child to view the solar eclipse. We built four viewers, ranging from 2 to 12 feet in length. On the day of the eclipse, early morning clouds obstructed our view. After checking the weather radar, we decided to drive south with the viewers. We ended up at Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill, turning it into a pop-up viewing party where people could interact with the viewers.
